100 Things

Oh, I thought you might want to check out my 100 things about me too....maybe not, LOL!

I think I'm getting sick! J is sick and last night I started feeling poorly too. I hope it's just a head cold...I have way too much to do to be in bed for any length of time.

I passed!

Woo-hoo I passed, unfortunately they don't tell you which ones you get wrong. Thanks to Mrs. Happy Houswife for the link!

You Passed the US Citizenship Test
Congratulations - you got 8 out of 10 correct!

No I didn't forget about you!

Wow, it's been awhile since my last post!! Sorry!
I've been pretty busy lately and I've been trying to go to bed early with J so I don't have as much free time to play online.

I've started Christmas shopping already. J thinks I'm crazy, LOL. I'm using FlyLady's Holiday Control Journal, of course, so it's going to be another enjoyable holiday season for me. It's SO nice to not have to stress during the holidays and be able to focus on what's really important to me (faith, family & friends). The only problem with thinking about Christmas now is that I think my brain is skipping over October's harvest time and Thanksgiving. It's jumping straight into winter, LOL. For instance, I keep forgetting to pick up a pumpkin while I'm out and about. J loves roasted pumpkin seeds, and he's going to miss out on "fresh from the oven" ones if I don't snap to it and get one LOL.

Card making

Yesterday I made cards for a card swap I go to with some ladies from church. Below is the card I made to exchange (it was a winter themed swap).
I embossed the swirls and "Winter Wishes" text on the front and inside it I embossed the text "Wishing you toasty toes and a warm nose" and the snowman and then bleached his body.

At the swap we made these two cards:

All in all it was really fun. I haven't had a chance to "play" in awhile, and I always enjoy getting together with the other ladies and catching up on what's going on in eachother's lives.

I can't believe it's October!

Where has this year gone????
It is just rushing past!

Well, each month I have been trying to create a new habit...and for October it's going to be taking care of myself physically. Yep, that mean exercising and eating right. I joined a gym yesterday that has a ladies only workout room, and I'm really looking forward to using it. I really need to work on strengthening my core muscles so I don't have as many back problems, and I need to work on my flexibility. Hopefully a byproduct of all of this will be some weight loss too. I don't have too much to lose, maybe 10# max, but it will be nice seeing my clothes fit me better. I am just really looking forward to feeling GOOD! I'm tired of being run down or hurting from back pain and/or Lupus.

I took Granola, our 3 year old Golden Retriever, for a mega-walk this morning. Other then the fact that my lungs are kinda funny from all the smoke from the fires I feel great! Nola has hardly made any movement at all since we got home....she's one tired pup!
